Hi everyone! Have you noticed a dark vertical gradient applied over every image on the new tab page? At first, I thought maybe it was there to prevent cards or top sites from blending with the background image, but even if you disable every element on the new tab page, that gradient still remains 
Is there any way to remove it? It seems unnecessary, and it makes each image look dark, depressing, and, frankly, kind of ugly.
