Google Password Manager on two-page-sequence login sites

I have managed to get Google password manager to work in the brave browser by enabling these two flags. But if the password field is on another page for example eBay, EE, Amazon where login is a two page process it will not autofil the password field or suggest the saved password. It works if I have a passkey set up but not for passwords. Is there anything I can enable in flags to make this work for the password field when it’s a two page login? Other then that every is working flawlessly.

Enable the setting to provide a virtual view structure for Autofill

Select Enabled without any compatibility check or Enabled without AwG restriction.

And

Android Credential Management for passkeys. Selected enable for Google password manager.

Brave version Version 1.74.51
Android 15 (one ui 7.0)

Please edit your Original Post (“OP”) above, to include:

  • Brave Browser version numbers
  • Computing device Operating System numbers

What are, specifically, “these two flags”? Screenshots would help, here.

I have edited the post to include software version ect. Brave Version 1.74.51 and android 15 (one ui 7.0)

Here is screenshots of the flags I did include the flag names but i imagine I made it hard to understand.

I suppose what I am now looking for is a flag that will enable the password to be automatically filled or suggestee when on a site that does 2 page login. (Username page then loads a new page for password) it does work fine when the password is filled on the same page as the username. And when on a two page login it does automatically fill the username just not the password I imagine this is something Todo with it filling the password on a different page to the username.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thank you

Also I just noticed it will auto fill the password we’ll offer it as a suggestion above the keyboard if I tick show password then click the password field. Website tested on is google.com, EE.co.uk and eBay.co.uk didn’t work with Amazon though. I can supply a video if you want however I would like to keep the video privet as it will have my email address visible.

Hi, I’m not sure if I clicked reply to your message or if I replied to my original post. Sorry not used to posting on here. Please could you check my updates on this post when you get a chance.

If a website has 1st-and-2nd login pages, the authors/sponsor of a Password Manager, might know about that website and have aready provided a process for auto-filling both login pages.

If the authors/sponsor of a Password Manager, do not have a process for auto-filling both of the 1st-and-2nd login pages, the user can sometimes succeed at requesting the authors/sponsor to include a process for auto-filling both login pages.

You have figured out, with regard to the 2nd of the 1st-and-2nd login pages:

  • if you “tick” the Show Password switch, and then

  • click on the Password field, then

  • the Password Manager that you are using,

  • will submit a button to click (that appears as a label for the applicable password - what you call a “suggestion”)

So, that seems as if you have a solution (that is less desireable than what you would request).

If you are not satisfied with your solution, then Brave team members @fanboynz (web compatibility) or @Mattches (performance issues) might be able to help you proceed.
