Unfortunately, I need a Google account, which means if I lose my phone I’ll lose my Google account. Supposedly the ONLY remedy is having a passkey, but I can’t find a way to store a passkey locally on my computer. Brave wants me to enable iCloud to use Google passkeys.
If there is an alternative to using iCloud or passkeys to login to Google without my phone please let me know.
OK, so I found a way to do it but you basically have to do the opposite of what Brave says to do. When it asks you to enable iCloud you dismiss the dialog and THEN it will (for some reason) give you the option to store locally. Not sure if this works yet, but it claims to be working.
