Google Inbox login with 2FA (using Google App on iPhone) not working properly

I’m trying to login to Google Inbox using Brave browser (LastPass extension enabled) and after putting username and password, I’m brought to the 2FA confirmation screen. Here, I’m using the 2FA login from iPhone Google app option. The pop up immediately returns a “Your sign-in attempt has timed out” as per the screenshot below. I have not tried using other 2FA methods yet, but will update thread when I am able to
