Google Hangouts Extension not functioning properly

Description of the issue: Trying to use Google Hangouts Extension doesn’t connect to call and doesn’t allow changing audio output or input

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Install the Hangouts Extension
  2. Open Hangouts
  3. Call from Extension or Take an incoming call from the extension.

Actual Result: It will continuously show “calling…” and if you go into the settings (the gear) it shows nothing in the microphone or output dropdowns.

Expected result: Shows “In voice call” and allows you to change the settings.

Reproduces how often: Consistently

Brave Version: Version 0.58.21 Chromium: 71.0.3578.98 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Reproducible on current live release: Yes

Additional Information:
Works in normal Chrome browser
Tried using Beta but to no avail

@Ender Thanks for reporting. I have tested it on 0.58.21 - Windows 10 x64, it’s working fine without any issues. I am able to make/receive calls from google hangout extensions.

I have no clue, why its not working for you. When you try to make/receive calls, what are the shield settings, can you share the screen shot please.
