Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu):
Brave release Version 1.22.72 Chromium: 89.0.4389.128 (Official Build) (x86_64)
Reproducible on current live release (yes/no):
Yes
Additional information:
Refreshing (using CMD-R) will not solve the issue.
Closing the tab, and reopening the url will now allow the dialog to appear on the first download, but will still fail on subsequent downloads until you close/reopen the tab
Well, I looked, but that option does not appear in my version of Brave. Also, just to confirm, it’s not that I’m trying to download multiple files simultaneously - I’m just trying to download one file and then later another without having to close the tab and reopen it.
Maybe that setting needs renaming as this was neither an “automatic download” (it’s a manually triggered download), and the “Ask when a site tries to download files automatically after the first file” is not what it’s doing before or after either. Also, it’s not multiple downloads as in downloading multiple files, it’s downloading consecutive files, sometimes as far apart as several minutes.
