Google has certainly increased their restrictions on browsers who have ad-blockers enabled. That said, I’m not seeing any of the issues you’ve described with Google services, including Youtube.
Can you please share a screenshot of the error message you get when you try to view Youtube content in Brave?

That looks like a normal playback error not related to YT blocking any content.
Can you please test playing Youtube content with Shields down?
Videos play but with ads when shields are down.
Some reason reactivating shields allowed me to play videos again without ads
Can you please put Shields back up, then go to brave://components and ensure that the Brave Ad-block updater, Brave Ad Block List Catalog, and Brave Ad Block Resources Library components are up to date?
They are now up to date, after updating I had errors again, but then restarting Brave fixed the errors. Thank you for the support!

I set on Standard and restart the browser, now it works. I hope youtube/ google will not go more aggressive for the ads. For me still dangerous
Hi, I’m having the same problem as the other people talked about in that YouTube videos won’t play unless the ad blocker is down. I’ve tried the solutions mention here, but YouTube still won’t play for me unless I disable the Ad Blocker. Here are some screenshot of my settings and the extensions I use.
try logging into your youtube account. you will get the playback error every time the adblock works.
Does it work in private window mode? Try also clearing the cache/cookie via brave://settings/clearBrowserData (will force to relogin to YT and other sites).
There was a youtube ad block update sent out earlier, so it should be resolved
