Gmaps images pixelated

Hi all

When I use Gmaps on Brave and view the user submitted photos of varying locations, they always seem to be pixelated and low res. I dont recall it always being like this, its something I’ve noticed more recently. I’m using Win 10 on an Acer Aspire laptop…
When I view the same images in another browser they are in a much better definition.
Does anyone know why this is happening and how to resolve it?
Thanks

Hello @MB76

Thank you for reaching out and I’m sorry to hear you are going through this. Can you try disabling Hardware Acceleration in settings, to see if this resolves the issue?

You’ll find this in Settings --> Additional Settings --> System --> Hardware Acceleration.

Let us know if that helps.
Regards.

The images are a lot clearer in guest mode

Hi! @MB76

Since guest mode works, please try disabling your extensions to see if this is the cause of the issue.

  1. On your computer, open Brave.
  2. At the top right, click MenuMore toolsExtensions.
  3. On to the extension you want to remove, click Remove.
  4. Confirm by clicking Remove.
