When I open a new tab, sometimes Brave inserts an ad for cryptos that, when you click on the background, takes you to a website to sell you crypto services.
Aside from ditching Brave as my primary browser, how do I get rid of it?
You can turn it off through your settings. If you haven’t already, it’s worth browsing through the settings to see what Brave offers.
You can disable Sponsored Images either through the Customize button on the New Tab Page or by navigating to:
Settings → Get Started → Customize new tab page.
Scroll to the bottom of the Background Image section, and you’ll find a toggle for Sponsored Images.
If you’re opted into Brave Rewards, you can also turn off New Tab Page Ads by going to brave://rewards/
