I know there’s been some changes and Uphold is the new wallet for rewards. Big problem is I can’t access Uphold from my location (Hawaii). Is there some way I can go back to using my Gemini account? It just stopped working for me and this is kinda frustrating that the choice for wallet is one I can’t use.

Uphold is not “new.” In fact it is the oldest partner and has been with Brave since about the beginning. Gemini was the newer partner.

Gemini has been unavailable for over a year. They pulled back after they got into a lot of trouble with governments over Gemini EARN and a few other problems, especially surrounding FTX. Since then nobody has been allowed to link to them.

If your existing profile was connected to Gemini, you should continue earning. However the moment you reset Rewards or try to connect on a new device, you’ll be unable to use Gemini for Brave Rewards.

Generally it is helpful if you can provide more information than vague terms like “it just stopped working for me.” In you saying that nobody knows if you mean it’s still connected but you haven’t receive payments, if you’re trying to connect with a new account, or any number of issues. If you are trying to say it’s still linked and you just haven’t been getting payments, then you should create a Rewards Support Ticket at https://support.brave.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360001302431

Why do you say you can’t access Uphold from your location? When looking at https://support.uphold.com/hc/en-us/articles/360026786712-Non-Supported-Jurisdictions they don’t list Hawaii as one of the areas unable to connect. They list New York and US Virgin Islands, but not Hawaii.

Hi Saoiray, I was in the PSA and I signed up for the early invite to link my solana wallet. I saw the november 19th update and it says anyone who joined the waitlist before november 15th got whitelisted. I don’t think I have gotten any sort of invite. Where would I go to see if I got an invite? I’d really love to set up my new mac book pro to rewards again. Thank you so much for your time and help! I also sent a message to you on reddit since there wasn’t any way for me to reply on the PSA page.
@joero24 let me ask you some questions.
- Is your Rewards connected to any custodial account?
- Do you have Rewards enabled?
- To confirm, you’re saying you signed up for the waitlist for the link I provided and gave them all the details?
- Keep in mind part of what they ask and encourage is to have the Discord account as they may reach out for extra info there.
As to where you would get the invite, you should see a notification in the Rewards area, the little BAT Rewards triangle thing. I don’t know if they changed anything on the appearance, but basically would look like below. Notice how there’s a red circle on the corner of the Rewards thing on the upper right? Then when clicking on it, would see something like the notification below:

Currently I have nothing connected on my macbook pro. Rewards are definitely enabled and I gave all the info that was required. I did use your username as the person that works for Brave/Person that recommended me. Not sure if that was the right thing to do or not at that point. I also provided my discord user name, and haven’t heard from anyone. Thank you again for your help!

Yeah only Uphold and Gemini
@joero24 I’ll try to touch base with her later and see what can find out. Perhaps when she spoke to say it’s been approved/added, she might have also been speaking from their part but then it would be getting sent out in the next batch.
Either way, I do know they’ll continue pushing them out. If I get any updates for you, I’ll try to come back. Guess let me just also tag in @jennie on this in case she comes around and has any details or can initiate a DM with you if she needs any specific information.
