Fullscreen issue on YouTube – browser enters F11 mode instead of video fullscreen

Hello Brave Support,

I’m experiencing an issue every time I try to watch a video on YouTube. When I click on a video and then double-click it to make it fullscreen, instead of the video going fullscreen as expected, the browser enters what looks like F11 fullscreen mode (the entire browser becomes fullscreen, not just the video).

To actually get the video into fullscreen mode, I have to click the “X” at the top to exit the browser fullscreen and then double-click the video again. This happens every day and has become quite frustrating.

Is there a setting I can change to fix this behavior? I would appreciate any help you can provide.

I think this is the correct behaviour, what do you expect when going fullscreen with the video? To keep the tabs visible?

You clearly don’t understand my issue sir. Double click doesn’t work. It makes browser full screen only. I have to quit full screen then double click works for video to go full screen
