Hello!
I am using brave for the first time. Works well so far, except that on Google Docs some fonts are missing - specifically Arial. When I open it in Firefox, Arial does exist. I’m not sure if this is a browser issue or a GDocs issue, but thought I’d ask here.
How can I get Google Docs to have all its fonts on Brave?
Any advice would be appreciated.
How can this issue be reproduced?
OS: Fedora Linux 41, GNOME 47
Create a google-doc in Firefox, observe Arial font
Open doc in Brave, no Arial, falls back to default sans font
Do you have some kind of a Fonts Book application on your Linux OS installation . . . that might not have the Arial font or enough of the Arial group of fonts?
For ideas on what may be happening, take a look at:
I do have Arial installed, and it even appears in the Settings menu (screenshot below). In Google Docs it doesn’t appear in the font selection menu, while on Firefox it does.
Holy avocados I just disabled the shields and now the fonts work fine.
Why is that? Is there any way to retain the shield and have access to fonts?
