Follow up to "Onelook.com search engine not automatically picked up"

This is a follow up to this post: Onelook.com search engine not automatically picked up

I am under the suspicion that there is a reproducible bug with the search engine feature in Brave.

  1. Go to onelook.com
  2. Enter a search term and hit enter
  3. Right click on search bar and choose “Manage Search Engine and Site Search”
  4. Search for onelook.com and click Activate
  5. Go to onelook.com again
  6. Enter a search term
  7. Right click on search bar and choose “Manage Search Engine and Site Search” again
  8. Search for onelook.com

Expected: The onelook.com site search is still active

Result: The site search for onelook.com is no longer active.

On my end this works seamlessly using the exact steps you shared above. Do you by chance have any extensions installed at this time? Can you also tell me what Brave version and OS version you’re using?

Can you please test this in a fresh browser profile and tell me if you get the same behavior? Please ensure you only have the one (new) profile window open when testing.
