First Party Isolation

Brave is an amazing browser and it has grown so much over the years but there is one feature that I believe is essential to privacy which is First Party Isolation. In Firefox, it can be enabled by setting ‘privacy.firstparty.isolate’ to true.

I’m sure a few people have mentioned this before and it may not seem necessary but it would definitely reel in new users from Firefox who won’t switch simply due to this feature. Simply put, this feature restricts cookies, cache and other data access to the domain level so that only the domain that dropped the cookie or file on the user system can access it. If anyone is unsure what this feature is, Ghacks has information regarding the feature.

I do hope this feature can be considered/re-considered. Keep up the fantastic work. :slightly_smiling_face:
