Filecrypt.co functionality is broken when shields are up

Description of the issue:
Shields are blocking 3 scripts on filecrypt.co.
But one of them seems to be responsible for the “Click’n Load” functionality that transfers the links to external applications like JDownloader.

Clicking the “Click’n Load” button doesn’t transfer the links, but when shields are off the button works as expected.

I could provide more information which of the 3 scripts is responsible for broken the functionality, but I don’t know how to enable/disable the individually.

Exact URL of the website in question:
https://filecrypt.co/Container/D1950B2FDD.html
Password: funxd

Does the site function as expected when Shields are turned off?
yes

What OS are you using when you see the ad?
Windows

Brave version (check About Brave):
Version 1.75.175

redirects to https://filecrypt.co/404.html

Ahh, I just checked with UrbanVPN and it does look like the filecrypt is geo-ip blocking. It might be restricted to German speaking countries.
IPs from Germany, Austria and Switzerland work.

Sorry, that this is so difficult

I’ve found another filecrypt page (that doesn’t seem to be restricted to certain IPs):
https://filecrypt.co/Container/A692351BA7.html

And there Shields is blocking only one script:
https://vlxxu.nxt-psh.com/ps/ps.js?id=0F5M-hGTnEGJle5eS_7iOQ

So, it looks like there is some functionality in there that is needed for transferring the links properly.

This site can’t be reached
filecrypt.co unexpectedly closed the connection.
Try:

Checking the connection
Checking the proxy and the firewall
ERR_CONNECTION_CLOSED

When I used a .de IP; after going through the captcha

Can you please also try the other links https://filecrypt.co/Container/A692351BA7.html ?
THis one shouldn’t be geo-ip blocked

Even in Chrome “Click N Load” button;

## Links could not be transferred<small>Please reload the folder.</small>

It does launch an ad popup, not a legit site initially.

I have found a workaround!
Leave shield activated for this site.

Go to:

  • Url: brave://settings/shields/filters
  • Scroll down
  • Enable Developer Mode
  • Add: @@||127.0.0.1

This will add 127.0.0.1 to the white list which Click’n’load uses.
Works here for me.

Thanks a lot @popy,

that worked like a charm!

Maybe this can be added per default ?

@Olluz nice that it also works for you.

Yeah, adding this by default would be nice.

@@||127.0.0.1^$domain=filecrypt.co ?

can confirm, that was perfectly.

Thanks!

Sure the domain would be good :slight_smile:
But whitelist 127.0.0.1 does not harm.
