Feedback for Brave Beta Snap Release

linux

#1

Good evening,

I recently started using Brave beta snap version on Solus Linux, here are some feedback on this beta (with shield) enable:

Half of the sites visited are displayed with a horrible font and a little smaller than with other browsers. This makes reading difficult sometimes.

The show/hide menu bar option in the preferences is not taken into account when restarting

Some popup can’t be closed on some sites.

Delete cookies on quit doesn’t work also.

that’s it. :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi @pat-san,
Likely you’re installed the soon-will-be-replaced Brave (brave-muon). This version will no longer received a bug fix (except it’s a critical bug).

Brave is currently moving to new architecture. You may want to try this new version (0.56.x and higher) https://brave.com/download/

Thanks

Ah ok, I see, so I’ll go snap install stable version. (I can’t use .deb etc. on solus)
I’ve enjoyed a lot the beta fews month ago on windows, but you’re working hard!
Come back too late.
Best regards
