Feature request: search among tabs

When to have many tabs open, the search among open tabs (and even history) would be appreciated. This has been done in Vivaldi browser where F2 opens floating window and while typing, it searches in real-time among open tabs and even from near history. Currently managing lots of tabs is very challenging. Also checked https://github.com/brave/browser-laptop/wiki/Brave-Browser-Shortcuts and could not find currently such search shortcut key. The F2 key could be a good choice to search among tabs and possibly even near history. This applies to all versions of Brave on different operating systems.

Hi @edmundlaugasson

Not sure if you’re aware, if you go to the URL bar and type something that matches part of a URL that is already open in a tab, it displays in the drop down under a ‘Tabs’ section. If you click on it, it takes you to to the tab. Is this what you’re looking for in a feature?

Thanks,
Lauren

Hi, @LaurenWags

Basically it gives these tabs but I see that not all tabs in search results unfortunately what I have open. If you could test Vivaldi browser at vivaldi dot com and after installation and opening many tabs, by pressing F2 you will see the small floating dialog box opening in the middle of the screen - this is what I mean. This is shown during 9 seconds here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RLptnwXlK58
This floating window is animated also here https://help.vivaldi.com/article/quick-commands/
The Vivaldi help would be quite useful to see what and how they use.
