Hi, I’ve been experiencing this rather unpleasant visual problem for some time now: the icons for my favorite sites no longer remain, the link to the site works, when I click on it the icon is displayed immediately, but if I close the page the icon disappears again the next time I open the page. This has been going on for some time now, and I can’t seem to find a solution, so I’ve come to you to find out what the problem is and how to resolve it?

Interesting. The favicon image is detected and displayed on first visit. So if the icons are disappearing then it implies that that data is being cleared in some way.
Can you check the Shields settings for these sites (lion icon in the address bar while on the site) and confirm that these sites do not have the Forget me when I close this site protection turned “on”? If it is, please toggle it “off” and this should resolve the issue.
Additionally, if the above was not the issue, can you check and ensure that you do not have the browser set to clear data “on exit” (Settings --> History --> Delete browsing data --> On exit)?
Lastly, this could potentially be a weird side effect caused by an extension you have installed. Can you confirm whether or not you have any extensions installed at this time and, if so, whether or not disabling them resolves the issue for you?
