The first thing I would do would be to update to the latest release.
You are both using the Muon Brave build. We have since deprecated Brave Muon in favor of this:

I highly recommend you install the new build and enjoy a much better browsing experience.
It runs in parallel with the Muon version you have installed now, so you don’t have to uninstall or overwrite anything and you can even import data from your previous Brave install into the new build.

Hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

#3

I did not know there is another branch.

I am using this install for a while and there is “no updates yet” when I click the “check for update”.

I downloaded installer from brave.com.

#4

We’ll be releasing a direct upgrade from Muon shortly, but for now you can download and install the new build directly form our Official Download Page.
As mentioned, both versions will run in parallel and none of your old data will be overwritten.

same rendering failing:
Version 0.55.22 Chromium: 70.0.3538.77 (Official Build) (64-bit)

#6

I confirm, failed 97/100 with Brave Version 0.55.22 Chromium: 70.0.3538.77 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Not sure what the acid test is about ,however this screenshot is from their site. As I understand it , it stopped being maintained in 2013.

Here is a screenshot of the test run on my Linux / Ubuntu with Brave
55.22. . I get the same results 97/100.

Hope you have as good an experience as I have with Brave. If you have questions this is the forum to ask them. Welcome to Brave.
