Facebook won't let me close image window upon clicking on it

Description of the issue:
When I’m scrolling in my feed and clicking on a post with an image, close button won’t work in full screen, In window mode, pressing the close button will send you to some “random” facebook page. This is not happening in basic Chrome.

How can this issue be reproduced?

1. Log into Facebook,
2. Scroll to some post with an image,
3. Click on the image
4. Try closing the window by pressing the upper left X button

Expected result:
Window is not closing

Version 1.44.112 Chromium: 106.0.5249.119 (Official Build) (64-bit)

No idea if someone did something, but finally after 3 weeks this is solved.

Edit: I take it back, does not work again. I didn’t change anything.

Could you try to do the same in a private window?

It works again for now. Both private and standard window.

Umm I guess its some problem with your extensions or maybe your cache data

I’m having the exact same issue here on brave as well and I have tried several things like:
-Disabling hardware accelerator
-removed all the extensions
-cleared browser cache
none of the above solutions seems to work, I believe this only started happening recently as I didnt face this kind of problem before.

I got used to it, this only seems to only happen for group photos. There is an invisible layer over the left part of the screen. If I click and drag the mouse over that part, some text is highlighted that you can’t normally see.
This might be helpful in finding a fix…

I have the exact same problem.

Often I end up (unwillingly) pressing on a link on that layer you speak of. It is rather frustrating.
