Description of the issue:
How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Enter the ‘facebook’ or ‘twitter’ keyword in the search bar and press Enter

Expected result:
URL bar content resets, no page is loaded, current webpage is not even reloaded.

Brave Version:
[Version 1.13.82 Chromium: 85.0.4183.83 (Official Build) (64-bit))
Using Linux (PopOS 20.04)

Additional Information:
This also happens when searching for the term on Google, DuckDuckGo or Bing.

This does not happen when browsing in Private Mode.

Can you try disabling all of your extensions? If that solves the problem, the next steps would be to enable each extension one by one, and seeing which one causes the issue.
