Exceedingly difficult to delete history items deep in the past

Description of the issue:
When trying to delete history items deep in the past, I can only delete a very few
(typically one) before the history snaps back to the top of the list. With several
tens of thousands of page items in history this is a long, tedious exhausting and
irritating process, it has an option for mass delete of the very most recent items
– a day a week a month or all time. No way to delete the oldest day or week or month.
the scrolling process is straightforward, but randomly and without warning, when I
click the little β€˜x’ by the item to make it go away, it clicks and goes away but only
very rarely will the scroll remain where it was so as to remove more. almost invariably
it returns to the very top of the scroll, thus losing my place and starting the painful
ordeal all over again. this is a very simple request and it should be a fairly obvious
need to anyone who ACTUALLY USES THE browser history, rather than just rushing to add
more bells, whistles, ruffles, and flurishes which few or none really want and only
bloat the system slowing it down.
Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary):

  1. tap the three dots for the meny
    2.select history
  2. scroll to the very bottom and delete an item
  3. if history does not immediatgely pop back to the top, it will before removing the third item.

Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):
I have no screenshot, but the result is that rather than remaining at the end of history (or
wherever i have found itgems to delete), after a click or two the history returns to the top
showing the most recent page visited.
Expected result:
that the history scroll would remain at the position scrolled to, so I can scroll further down,
back up, or delete another specific item (or ten or twenty) right where I am. cannot do that.

Reproduces how often:
Always, always, each and everyh time I attempt to clean somethig off. The desired/expected
behavior is NEVER EVER exhibited.

Brave Version(about:brave):
Brave 1.26.71, Chromium 91.0.4472.120
** Android/iOS Model (what device are you using?):**
Galaxy A32 5G, Model: SM-A326U
Additional Information:
I still cannot find a link on your site wherin to submit this bug report. If you eventually
receive it through the website rather than email (if I can even get that to work) then we
will assume I finally got that to work.

I guess I will have to sign up. I hate that. I suppose trolls are an issue everywhere.

@martinbrocman,
The first thing I would do is update to the lates build β€” you are several releases behind and this may be causing this as well as several other issues in the browser. Please update to the latest and let me know if the issue persists.

Hello all,
Thank you very much for the recommendations. I was using the browser on an android phone.
This is the second one I have purchased after having a flip phone crowbar from my hand in a death grip common to those who do not like change. I had been using the little black β€˜x’ on the right of each link. these are a fluke and don’t work.
I accidentally rested my finger on a link and a little red check on the left of the link showed up just like the desktop with a trashcan icon on the top. it works just fine. I apologize for having spewed my ignorance all over the floor for you to walk in. The browser works fine, and now that I understand the process, it is again a very well written and convenient tool.
