Examples of search engine preference text strings

How do I add duck duck go using this interface?

Hi @timb,
Is that the type of search you want to run anytime you’re using this newly defined engine? Maybe I’m missing something but can you tell me what those numbers reference (image of specific size maybe?)

Hi,
I was confused by the dialog provided by Prefs: Search Engines:Add

Looking at the strings stored for other search engines they look like
https://duckduckgo.com/?q=%s&atb=v135-4__
or even
{google:baseURL}search?q=%s&{google:RLZ}{google:originalQueryForSuggestion}{google:assistedQueryStats}{google:searchFieldtrialParameter}{google:iOSSearchLanguage}{google:searchClient}{google:sourceId}{google:contextualSearchVersion}ie={inputEncoding}

But there’s no help as to how one might assemble such a string for a new engine.

I now see that using an engine somehow adds it to the “Other search engines” list, and one can move it from there to the default.

Still would be nice to know what the strings do… but less important now.
