Error while updating Brave

There is an error while trying to update Brave.

  1. Open Brave Menu

  2. Go to About Brave

  3. Wait Brave to check if there is a newer version

There is an error while checking for newer versions:

A message saying that Brave is up to date or that the newer version is installed and you have to restart

It happens every time you go to about:brave

Version 0.58.18 Chromium: 71.0.3578.98 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Have the same problem

Now, I am able to check for Brave updates.

I didn’t do anything.

This particular error is kind of tricky to debug. Sometimes it will go away after refreshing the page once, sometimes after 10 times, sometimes never. I’m glad yours didn’t last that long. Please feel free to open a new topic if you have other comments or concerns.
