Error message on Ubuntu 19.10 when trying to update Brave

I am using Ubuntu 19.10.

When I click Software updater I get an error message about updating Brave:

“Unable to download updates failed to refresh cache: w: an error occurred during the signature verification. The repository is not updated and the previous index files will be used. GPG error: https: //brave-browser-apt-release-s3.brave.com eoan InRelease: the following signatures couldn’t be verified because the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY A8580BDC82D3DC6C”.

I tried changing https to http also -“Failed to download repository information”.

I had exactly the same. Cisco Umbrella blacklisted Brave since it is capable of using Tor. Logically you are unable to access brave.com.

Nothing you can do besides pleading your case at the local sysadmins.

or maybe they broke it as described here.
