Description of the issue:
When I logon to certain credit cards or other bank account, like Capital One, they don’t recognize my device because Brave operates as private browsing. This prompts the website to verify my identity, even though I am logging on from my laptop at home, which is annoying and time consuming. Is there a feature/option in Brave that enables my device recognition?
How can this issue be reproduced?
- Login to your bank or credit card account, like www.capitalone.com
You’ll be prompted to select a method to verify your identity, like choose a mobile number to send a verification code.

- I allowed all fingerprinting on the subjected website, but it didn’t resolve the issue.
- I use ProtonVPN (free plan) on my computer, which could be contributing to this problem.
