Dragging a tab to a new monitor on Linux does not maximize the window, even if dragged to the top edge of the 2nd monitor

Description of the issue:
I have a triple monitor system, running Ubuntu 24.04, KDE Plasma Version 5.27.11. If I have multiple tabs open on monitor 1, and want to move a tab to monitor 2, I usually click on that tab and drag it to the top of monitor 2, which normally moves that tab to a new window on monitor 2, and also maximizes it. This isn’t working properly. The tab will move to monitor 2, but when I release the drag, it isn’t a maximixed window. I have to then drag the window from the toolbar (not the tab) to the top of monitor 2 in order to maximize it.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Drag a tab from one monitor to the top edge of a 2nd monitor

Expected result:
The tab should move to the 2nd monitor, and also be maximized, because the tab was dragged to the top edge of the 2nd monitor
