Description of the issue:
I use the Brave app from the iOS store app on my iPad. The app and iPad are both in the latest update version.
When I try to download an image file it opens in the same tab as an image webpage. When I try to download that image with the share button it saves the file as a blob:url, which can’t be opened from my file folder. I have to choose the file location myself, so it is not automatically saved in the Brave downloads folder by itself anymore.
How can this issue be reproduced?
- Click on any download button on a website. For example after creating images with the AI image creator of Bing.
- The image is opened as a new page in the same tab.
- Use the share button or right click → share option.
- Save in a folder.
- Go to the folder and the file can’t be accessed as it’s a blob:url file.
Expected result:
Download as .jpeg, or any other image file, in the downloads folder.
