I cannot find my downloaded videos on IOS version. I tried to reinstall the app but still whenever I download a video it is not in the brave downloads folder.
What can I do?

@brucepain Are you downloading to Playlist, or are you downloading a video as a file? If it’s for Playlist, it won’t show up in downloads, and you won’t be able to move it outside the browser.
It’s also helpful to:
- Provide as much detail as possible about the issue. For example, you didn’t mention if this happens on specific sites, how you’re downloading, or if you’ve checked the file path through your OS Files app or only relied on Brave’s Downloads option.
- Always include your OS (e.g., iOS 17.6.1) and Brave version (e.g., 1.69.1) when reporting issues. This information is key for giving accurate instructions or replicating problems to find a solution.

It happens for any site I download a video as a file from. I look for them in brave downloads folder only.
It is brave Version 1.69.1 (171) and IOS 17.6.1

I have the same problem. I was downloading from instadownloaders and brave finished downloading but when i go to downloads in the folder app the files never downloaded. All downloads i did yesterday never downloaded.
now the files never finish downloding.

@brucepain and @liewe thanks for the response. I just tested on my iPhone and can replicate what you’re saying. It seems to work on Chrome and Safari, with it only being Brave where there’s an issue. I’m going to spend a little more time to see if it’s only happening with videos or all downloads. Once figure that out, I’ll open a Github issue and tag in some from Brave to make sure eyes are on it.

Yeah looks like I can reproduce as well. Downloaded a file, checked everywhere and could not find it in any folder on the device. Will get eyes on this asap.

@brucepain can you check for most recent update and advise if it’s resolved
came here seeking help with this similar issue. I am on ios 18.1 developer beta and just updated the Brave app to its latest version ( 1.69.2) and it appears to work fine now. I tested all my usual sites for downloading and they all work as intended

I understand that the ability to download files was restored. The other issue is that I noticed that all my files that I downloaded through Brave browser disappeared. I was able to view those files without issue prior to the update that broke the ability to download files. So, all of those files are gone for good because I don’t have a recent ios backup.
To confirm, at this point you are now able to download and save files properly?
