Does the Brave community advocate using searX search engine?
( Is one considered more secure than the other?)

When I try to add in settings mode webTorrent, Hangouts and Manage Extensions section covers over part of the search engine entry area

Your SearX shortcut looks correct - is the search not performing as expected?

The first one added automatically looks correct. The second entry looks like manual entry which won’t work correctly as there is no query parameter passed (/search?q=%s or ?q=%s). I’d suggest you remove the second one.
