Dissenter to Brave Questions

I wanted a sleek browser and was told to download Dissenter. I did, and I have been using it since January. My issue, today, is oddly enough, it has never had an update in those 7 months and honestly, I have never seen that on a browser before.
So, my questions are pre-Brave install ones.
Does Brave often update?
Can I migrate from Dissenter to Brave and keep import all of my bookmarks, exactly how they exist?
Does brave allow for a 1 click history cleanup?
And, is it still very sleek, unlike Chrome and Edge?
Thanks for any answers, Sharon

  3. You can easily configure Brave to clear your browsing data on exit, if you wish to do so. You can as well bookmark brave://settings/clearBrowserData and quickly clear whichever browsing data you would like.
  4. Brave blocks ads and trackers by default, which in return improves its performance greatly. I recommend taking a look at the articles at https://brave.com/blog/ for more information.

Just to add to @Rethanis’s excellent response:

Yes and more importantly updates are automatic, so you needn’t worry about missing any.

Good Morning.

I recently downloaded and installed the Dissenter browser for Windows 10 64-bit ( Version 1.5.114 Chromium: 80.0.3987.149 (Official Build) (64-bit). This version was released 2 years ago back in 2019

I’m aware that during the install a new system service called “Dissenter” is auto configured to check for updates.

The latest version of Brave browser is 1.27.109 Chromium 92.0.4515.115 (released 7/27/21)

Is Dissenter actively updated regularly to coincide with the latest Brave release? If not, why? I would think that Dissenter would have been updated by now to match the current release of Brave

Any advice/feedback would be appreciated.

Brave and Dissenter have nothing in common.

Don’t use Dissenter as it is out-dated. Using an out-of-date browser is a security risk. Give Brave a try, if you like it - stick with it, otherwise switch to another actively maintained browser.
