Disable sync (delete data) workaround no longer available

My Lenovo Thinkpad L380 with windows 11 pro was not syncing when the 25-word code was filled in and now cannot leave the sync chain after the leave sync chain button has been used.

There were many posts with a workaround which was to use ‘Disable sync (delete data)’ in brave://sync-internals, but this button seems to be absent. Any other ways to leave the sync chain and get new devices working?

I have the same issue. Sync was broken - as echoed by others elsewhere, it is clearly still buggy. Uninstall / reinstall Brave shows the same sync chain too. How can I just leave it and rejoin?
