Description of the issue:
Geräteerkennung (Device recognition) setting reset to default.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. start brave
  2. change setting Geräteerkennung (Device recognition)
  3. restart brave

Expected result:
Brave should show the changed value.
Brave Version( check About Brave):
Brave 0.68.132 Chromium: 76.0.3809.132 (Offizieller Build) (32-Bit)

Did it happens only for “Device recognition”, @Johann ? How about other shield settings? Did you change the global shield settings or per-site shield settings (via Brave icon at URL bar)?

It happens only for ‘Device recognition’. I have change the global shield settings.
I don’t use per-site shield settings.

Have you cleared your browsing data and/or do you have any data to be cleared on exit (Settings --> History --> Clear Browsing Data --> [On Exit])?

On Exit i clear all data.

I believe that’s the problem then – we have an open issue right now wherein Shields settings are wiped/reset alongside browsing data. We’re working to decouple these data so that it can be wiped without effecting Shields settings:
