I just like to say I love Brave.
I am using Brave Nightly in ubuntu desktop.
When I installed brave, the script create a desktop icon called “/usr/share/applications/brave-browser-nightly.desktop”
Inside this file it’s missing an option called StartupWMClass.
Every time I update brave, I need edit this file and put the follow line in the end of Desktop Enty section:
StartupWMClass=brave-browser
This causes the brave windows to be grouped with your icon in the dash of gnome 3
To see what WM_CLASS run the following command:
xprop WM_CLASS
