Description of the issue:
Opening messenger turns my CPU utilization up too much (compared to any other browser)
How can this issue be reproduced?
- Open Facebook on desktop
- Open messenger and talk to a friend
Expected result:
Cpu utilization stays low, comparable to other browsers.
Brave Version( check About Brave
):
Additional Information:
Brave just turned my PC into a stove for no reason so I decided to upload an image of my task manager.
The one with the arrow is a facebook tab that has a single messenger window open.
The other is youtube.
My PC specs are RTX 4070, M.2 Gen 4 SSD and Ryzen 7 7800X3D.
I know nobody uses facebook anymore but I still do sadly. Is there any way to fix this?
I tried enabling and disabling HW acceleration, i tried many things. Any other browser behaves correctly and the issue only happens if I open a messenger window on the facebook page.
