Desktop browser & touchscreen issue

Description of the issue:

G’Day,
I’m a happy Brave user on my phone and laptop…with one small issue…

My laptop is an ASUS Zenbook UX363EA.
It has a screen that folds completely back on itself to offer tablet functionality.
I’m running Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS and I use Brave and Firefox.

When I’m using the touchscreen there is no on-screen keyboard when I touch any input fields…anywhere. This is consistent across all applications.

But when using Firefox, the on-screen keyboard pops up whenever I need it. So this would indicate it is a Brave / software issue…??

Or is it that the functionality is not there with Ubuntu when I’m not using the native browser?

How can this issue be reproduced?

Using any desktop with a touch screen and Brave, open an input field on any webpage, email or document and see if the on-screen keyboard automatically appears…?

  1. Maybe I can add an extension?
  2. Maybe it’s a setting in Brave?
  3. Maybe the functionality isn’t possible…?

Expected result:

Brave Version( check About Brave): 1.78.97
