Delete items from drop-down menu in URL bar

Is there a way for me to delete items in the drop-down menu, when I search for a site from the URL bar?

Here is the context of my question: I will occasionally do a search for a book on a publisher’s website, and because there are earlier editions, I do get a few items in the drop-down menu when I am typing in the URL bar. Unfortunately, because some of those book are old editions, there is no current/existing web page for these older editions. But because I have to pick between several options in the drop-down menu, I often pick a defunct webpage.

I have tried Shft+Del but that didn’t do anything. I don’t want to stop Brave from making search suggestions—I like those–but I just want to remove a few individual items, that’s all.

I am using Brave Nightly, updated, on Windows 11 with recent updates as well.

If you mouse over a search suggestion, an “X” may appear to the right . . . and you click on that.

Maybe. Reference:

Url autocomplete autofills a specific url & refuses to let me replace it - #7 by Saoiray

Thanks, but the search suggestions that I want to delete, don’t have that x on the right. :frowning:

Then hopefully, Brave Community Ninja @Saoiray will be able to help you sort things out.
