I am NOT a fan of either Chrome or Firefox, and find too many browsers that claim to be alternatives, nevertheless incorporate components of one or the other, and become more like either Chrome or Firefox with each update
What I dislike most about EVERY browser I have tried is that each time the browser updates, IT RESTORES THE DEFAULT BOOKMARKS I HAD DELETED, in the process losing the bookmarks I had created because they were not stored within the default settings.
I have yet to download Brave, and will not do so unless I can get some reassurances that I will not be faced with the same behavior.

I’m not entirely sure to what you’re referring, honestly. What I do know is that when you install Brave for the first time, no bookmarks should populate the browser unless you’ve imported data from other browsers during setup.
