Hi I would like to bring back this thread: In Developer mode it should be possible to enable any extension

Is there a way i can use my own unpublished extension on my browser only?

I don’t trust using anyone else’s extension and have found unreported malicious stuff in there. Either way, I would like to be able to load my own custom extension that is for my own personal use.

Here’s an article showing how this is possible in some other browsers:

Hi @driansharp, Welcome to Community!
If you go to brave://extensions/ and enable Developer mode at the top right
You will then have the option load unpacked
Click load unpacked to load your extension into Brave

Menu → Extensions → enable Developer mode
Then “Load Unpacked” (navigate to sub-dir where unpacked content of extension lives).
