This may be a simple to reproduce issue, just noticed when on some websites, such as Youtube comments, both the background, and the text appears dark when editing/typing. I have tried the settings of theme, “light”, “dark” and “same as windows setting” and only light theme is trouble free. This issue means it is 100% impossible to type anything. It just looks like you are not even typing.
The problem only persists in Brave, all my other browser installs do not have this issue.
Running Version 1.73.101 Chromium: 131.0.6778.139 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Running on Windows 10.
Maybe I am just too dumb to figure it out, but the settings seem to be limited to these three options.
It’s always good to take time to search for ongoing issues. This has been a widespread problem impacting people on all web browsers.
The above aside though, let me also make sure I’m not making some misunderstandings. Are you indeed saying this is happening on other websites? If so, can you give some examples?
I’m really sorry, I had searched the issue just generally through google.
Somehow it is fixed now, maybe due to the theme extension I have just installed, but still need to fiddle with the controls to be sure. I searched for “Youtube theme” in extensions and installed “Youtube Dark Theme” and “Youtube Theme Changer”
Other websites I have noticed it on was Nebula and Patreon, but maybe they’re using a similar engine, dunno. I’m stepping way out of my league here…
Hard to tell now that it appears to be fixed. Greatly appreciate the fast response anyways! Thanks!
