Dark Mode/Light mode per profile

My wife and I both use separate profiles on the same computer at home for obvious reasons such as bookmark and preferred colour themes. I have noticed however that the “Dark” and “Light” settings are not per user but seem to simply stay on whatever was last selected in the appearance menu. I far prefer the “Dark” option while my wife prefers the “Light” option. Can we get this setting to be defined per user rather than per computer?

sorry not sorry for the necropost! but i found this thread by google because i had the same issue and this thread was the first result! hopefully this helps at least one person in the future.

you can have per-profile colors if you use chrome store themes!

it works with the above, just not with the built-in brave light/dark “Brave colors.”
