Cyclingnews.com website displays cached rather than current copy

After a reboot of my PC, when I start Brave and go to the website https://www.cyclingnews.com/, what I get is the cached copy from when I last accessed it, not the current web page. I have to hit the Reload page button to get the current website content.

To reproduce

  1. Go to https://www.cyclingnews.com/. Look at the current content for one of the stage races being covered (eg Vuelta a Espana).
  2. Repeat the process a day later, and the content shown will be the same as the previous day.
  3. Hit the Reload button and you will get the current day’s content.

Current content should be displayed without having to hit Reload.

Version 0.68.132 Chromium: 76.0.3809.132 (Official Build) (64-bit)

OS Windows 10 x64 build 1903

Does it occur if you manually clear the cache and/or in private window mode?

I cleared cache last night and had a look at the website. When I returned this morning, the home page did not show the results of the latest Vuelta stage until I hit the Reload page button. I can try again tomorrow and see whether clearing cache before opening the page gets the latest content. But even if it does, that’s not a viable workaround to have to constantly use.

Chrome shows the latest content without any of this faffing around.
