Cursor not working in google docs

Description of the issue:
When trying to edit a document in google docs/google drive the cursor is not working properly. It blinks to the left of a paragraph and won’t select anything. Only happens in Brave browser, works fine in chrome.

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.
Launch Brave, open Drive, open or create new word doc, type

Expected result:
Cursor should move right with typing, should be able to select text

Reproduces how often:
Every time

Operating System and Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu):
Windows 10 Home
Version 1.22.71 Chromium: 89.0.4389.114 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Changing to Ads and trackers = Standard should help.

Already set to standard. Also doesn’t work with “shields down”

Also experiencing this issue with Brave on Windows. Turning off shields doesn’t fix it at all. I’m not only having this cursor issue, but also the overall formatting in Google Docs (as well as Google Slides) is all messed up and not formatting text correctly. This all works without any issues on my mac running Brave.

Would be another issue. Unless it’s another issue, try in private mode (or many test in a new profile)!
