My Issue:
I have recently moved from Chrome to Brave and one of the things that I really hate about both browsers is the back and forward navigation using the 2-finger side-scroll gesture. It makes using web applications that require sideways scrolling super frustrating to use. Back navigation also invariably happens when scrolling down a long article / publication / web page.
I understand that web developers might be able to fix the web pages that require side scrolling but I don’t see the point of this useless gesture based navigation feature. The good old fashioned back button is good enough for me.

My request:
Could a feature be added to Brave to disable this awful feature?
Steps to Produce Undesired Behaviour:
- Navigate to https://www.instagram.com/p/B42aieOhkPe/
- With the mouse cursor over the beach scene image and using a to finger gesture, first scroll toward the right of the trackpad to the next image.
- With the mouse cursor over the beach scene image and using a to finger gesture, first scroll toward the left. The Browser invokes back navigation! Arghh!
