Description of the issue:
Crazed styling Mac M1 11.2.3, 16gb, especially in gmail but not exclusively. It looks like it could be to do with css background colours not being applied and instead rendering as transparent.

How can this issue be reproduced?

1. Visiting gmail, duck duck go, google
2. google/duck duck go search drop down initally renders as transparent, then occasionally changes to white
3. visiting gmail hovered over element renders as red with other seemingly reandom elements, r
   
   
   endering as black.

Expected result:
Website to render as intended

Brave Version( check About Brave):
1.22.71 Chromium: 89.0.4389.114

Additional Information:
I have tried deleting and reinstalling brave but the error persists

Hello @emcog

go to brave://settings/system and turn off Use hardware acceleration when available

and if that did not help then disable all extension and see if it help

if it work then renable all extension one by one till you get the one cause the issue
