Crash when opening browser since 1.70.117 on MotoOV

Description of the issue:
Brave browser crashed at launch on Android 11 - Motorola One Vision since 1.70.117.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Download/upgrade Brave Browser using Play Store to 1.70.117
  2. Try to launch
  3. immediate crash

Expected result:
Brave browser opens (like it did before :slight_smile: )

Brave Version( check About Brave):
1.70.117

Mobile Device details
Motorola One Vision - XT1970-3 reteu - kane
RSA31.Q1-48-36-26

Additional Information:
Crashes also on 1.70+ (tested beta + nightly as of Sep 22, 2024)
Reverted back to 1.69.164 that works perfectly !

Experiencing the same crash with the new update. Unfortunately cant revert to the previous version

Estou com o mesmo problema, também com um motorola one vision.

Nas ultimas horas ao tentar abrir o aplicativo, ele imediatamente fecha.

  • Reiniciei o celular e persiste.
  • Limpei todo cache e persiste.
  • Limpei todo Armazenamento e reinstalei o aplicativo e persiste.
  • Instalei outras 2 versões do Brave para mobile (Nightly, Beta) os quais contém o mesmo problema.

Same here, moto ov and after update brave crash when I click on it.

Thanks for the fix in 1.70.119. Just applied it and it works. Problem fixed !
