- with shields on go to casper.com
- observe crash on dev version
It’s quite important to the support process – like right now, for example! Because Casper.com renders for me without issue:
So, now I have to ask you things like:
when I land there
I have lastpass installed
private window with shields enabled also crashes
Also crashes on Version 0.66.101 Chromium: 75.0.3770.142 live release
Thanks for the additional information. Have you tried disabling
Hardware Acceleration yet?
Settings --> Additional Settings --> System --> Hardware Acceleration
disabling hardware acceleration doesn’t fix it (edited because I checked the tab and it had eventually crashed again)
Well this certainly is strange. Reaching out to some team members for more info – thanks for reporting. Hopefully have more information on this soon.
Cool, let me know if you need anything more specific about my system config, etc. One thing that is a bit different is my enterprise install of Windows 10 maybe?? I got new nvidia drivers but it didn’t change it.
Just tested with Brave Dev 0.68.104 and shields up on Win 7, but it doesn’t crash for me. I do get some odd warnings in the console log though:

Not sure if that has any relevance for crashes though.
EDIT: There is something weird with that site. The page loads fine when I have uBlock Origin active, but if I disable that plug-in, the site becomes unresponsive and never finishes loading.
Great reporting @jek6094. Very strange that I don’t see the same behavior on my end – will have to run additional tests. I believe we have another update planned in the next week as well which may end up resolving this issue at the same time.
