Copy Clean Link in extension popup crashes browser

Description of the issue: When clicking Copy Clean Link in an extension popup, the whole browser crashes. It otherwise works fine in an extension page or regular tab.
How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Open an extension popup that has a link in it - a 1Password Secure Note or the Honey beginning screen both work for this.
  2. Right-click and click “Copy Clean Link” on the link
  3. Observe the Brave crashes

Expected result:

Brave Version( check About Brave): 1.47.186

  • if you have automatic crash reporting is enabled (Settings --> Privacy/Security --> Automatically send diagnostic reports), please respond back here with the crash report ID
  • If Automatically send diagnostic reports is not enabled, ensure you click Send on these crash reports listed on the page, then reply here with the crash report ID
