"Connection interrupted" followed by page load

I very often have the effect, that when I click on a link, brave first shows me an error page with a text “connection interrupted” plus some message, either re. DNS not able to resolve an address or mumbling something about a network change, only to load the intended page a few seconds later. I find these “breaks” most annoying and distracting. Any idea why that is and how to prevent that?

This is on Windows 10 (with all current updates installed) and Brave’s latest version 1.48.171 Chromium: 110.0.5481.177 (Official Build) (64-bit).
I am using my ISP’s DNS server and there is no pi-hole or other DNS-mangling installed on my home-network.

Unfortunately the message is only visible for a moment so I didn’t manage to create a screen shot of it, yet.

Hello @mmo18

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Could you kindly use guest mode to see if the issue persist? If that works, please try disabling your extensions to see if this is the cause of the issue.

  1. On your computer, open Brave.
  2. At the top right, click MenuMore toolsExtensions.
  3. On to the extension you want to remove, click Remove.
  4. Confirm by clicking Remove.

Additionally, on shields disable upgrade connections to https://

Let us know if that helps!
