Connecting Ledger to Brave Browser: Failed to write the report

When attempting to import my Ledger Nano X device to Brave Wallet I get a “Failed to write report”.

  1. Connect Ledger, unlock, go to ethereum app.
  2. go to brave://wallet/crypto/accounts
  3. Add account → Hardware - > Ledger

Error occurs here.

I enabled blind signing in the ethereum app but still not working. Any ideas on other things I can try?
